Data

I and my coauthors Albert Chiu and Scott Desposato tracked all LGBT rights granted across 17 countries in Latin America between 1822 and 2016, as well as whether those changes were implemented by the Executive, Legislative or Judicial branches of government. This was the data behind our paper on the effects of granting LGBT rights on public opinion in Latin America. We, however, hope these data will be widely used by other researchers. Just make sure, of course, to cite us if you use it.
